Under-17 side defeats the Netherlands

The Malta Under-17 side defeated the Netherlands 2-1 in the second match from the UEFA Under-17 mini-tournament which is being held in Andorra.
Following a goalless first half, Malta was awarded a penalty seven minutes in the second half which was converted by Sacha Borg. On 70 minutes, the Maltese doubled the score as substitute Dylan D’Agostino converted another penalty awarded by Vital Sevastsyanik.
Jürgen Locadia pulled one back for the Netherlands three minutes in added time.
Malta now shares the second place with the Netherlands with three points from two matches, three points behind leaders Northern Ireland. Malta would secure the runner-up position with a win over Andorra in the last game on Tuesday and the Netherlands fail to beat the Irish.
