The women’s national team will be playing the second game from the 6th FIFA Women’s World Cup qualifiers on Sunday as they take on England at Bloomfield Road, Blackpool in what probably is the most difficult game played ever by Pierre Brincat’s side. The game kicks-off at 18:30 CET.
The English side were the losing finalists in the Women’s EURO which was held less than two months ago. They are currently ranked eighth in the world and fourth in Europe.
In their first outing, the Maltese team lost heavily to Spain, suffering a 0-13 defeat. Brincat’s main objective for Sunday’s game is therefore to limit the damages as much as possible.
Kathleen Saliba, Marisa Deguara and Catherine Camilleri will be back after missing the first game.

The match will be controlled by French referee Florence Guillemin.
