Ronnie Tabone, Hon. Member of the Malta Football Association, passed away on Friday afternoon.
Tabone is a former goalkeeper and Secretary of Melita FC for more than forty years. 
He was also Council Member for many years representing his old love Melita FC.
He started his football career with Floriana Ajax as a goalkeeper in the early Fifties. He was younger brother the legendary Frank Tabone, coach of the famous Floriana Ajax.
He was also given recognition by UEFA for his service to Maltese Football for more than five decades
Mass ‘praesente cadavere’ will be said on Monday, 14th December at Stella Maris Church, Sliema, at 9.30am.
