The BOV Player of the Month award for November went to the Hamrun Spartans forward Marcelo Pereira, who edged other players to win the month’s top spot. Since joining the Spartans, Pereira has stood out with his consistent performances, his incisive running helping him to score three times during the month of November. He scored one against Dingli Swallows in their 4-1 victory early in November and, although on the wrong end of a 3-2 scoreline against Valletta, still managed to grab both goals.
An energetic work-rate and opportunistic scoring skills will certainly be needed if the Spartans are to reach their pre-set targets this season. Marcelo Pereira has these attributes, which will help his team in their quest. 
Hubert Camilleri, Manager of Bank of Valletta’s Hamrun Branch presented the trophy to Pereira. Fra Diego Home in Hamrun was the player’s charity of choice to benefit from the donation associated with this award.
