Five Premier League players suspended

Five Premier League players were handed a one-match ban after the last round of matches which was held during the weekend.
The five players are Birkirkara’s Joseph Zerafa and Paul Fenech, Tarxien’s Stacey Vella and Anderson Mendes Ribeiro and Hamrun’s Roderick Fenech.
Zerafa and Fenech are ruled out of the game against Valletta on Saturday. Vella and Ribeiro will be missing the game Tarxien-Dingli on Sunday while Fenech is ruled out of the game against Hibernians on Saturday.
Melita’s Kane Micallef was banned for three months in Division 1 while Malcolm Marmara (Pietà) and Yannis Tonna (St. Patrick) were banned for one match.
In Division 2, Daniel Zuccaro (St. Venera) and Joseph Mercieca (Zebbug) were suspended for one match. Francois Mizzi (Xghajra) was handed a two-match ban in Division 3 while Attard duo Mark Saliba and Josef Axisa were suspended for one match.
Sliema’s Marlon Farrugia was banned for two matches in the Youth League.
