Six Premier League players suspended

Six Premier League players were handed a one-match ban following the last round of matches. In fact, the MFA Disciplinary Commissioner suspended Dino Cachia (Dingli), Pablo Doffo and Julian Briffa (both Floriana), Mark Scerri (Sliema) and Jordi Cruijff (Valletta) besides Hamrun Spartans striker Gaetan Spiteri who was banned on Tuesday.
Like Spiteri, Dino Cachia is ruled out of the game between Dingli and Hamrun on Monday. Floriana duo Julian Briffa and Pablo Doffo will be missing the game against Valletta who will be lacking Jordi Cruijff. Mark Scerri is ruled out of Sliema’s game against Qormi.
Meanwhile in Division 2, Daniel Borg (Gharghur), Keith Darmanin (Lija) and Alexander Barbara (Zurrieq) were banned for one match while Matthew Pisani (Zejtun) was suspended for one game in Division 3.
In the Youth League, Sacha Borg (Floriana), Nigel Agius and Martin Busuttil (Ghaxaq), Michael Theuma (Kirkop), Stefano Vella (Mgarr), Randall Refalo (Pietà), Charlot Ciantar and Neil Farrugia (Rabat), Justin Buhagiar (Siggiewi) and Shaun Borg Cardona (Naxxar) were all handed a one-match ban. On the other hand, Naxxar Lions coach, assistant coach and official, namely Alex Delia, Alfred Cassar and Dione Drago were all suspended for two matches.
On Tuesday, Reuben Vella (Mellieha) and Jeremy Gatt (Senglea) were banned for one match in Division 2 while Brian Barbara (Ghaxaq) was suspended for one match in Division 3. Fgura United official Lawrence Bugeja was handed a two-match ban.
