Spartans extend positive run

Dingli S. vs Hamrun S. 1-3

Hamrun registered the second win in three matches as they defeated wooden-spoonists Dingli Swallows 3-1.

They took the lead after just two minutes when off a Gaetan Spiteri corner from the left, Manolito Micallef beat goalkeeper Ivan Cassar.

Diego Armando Cucciardi doubled the score on 27 minutes when he hit home off a corner from the right by Clyde Camoin.

Three minutes from the end of the first half, Hamrun scored the third goal when Mark Anthony Bonnici served Manolito Micallef who controlled the ball in style before rounding Cassar and hitting home.

Dingli pulled one back on 81 minutes when off a cross from the right by substitute Etienne Farrugia, Mark Anthony Bonnici committed an own goal in an attempt to clear the ball into safety.
