Fifteen-year old Jurgen Borg left Malta last week for a four-day trial with Championship side Coventry City. The invitation was made possible thanks to the hard work and dedication of the Floriana Nursery Committee.

The good relationship which Floriana Youth Nursery has with two major clubs in England opened the door for Jurgen to show off his skills with the possibility of earning a two-year scholarship with the English club.

During his four-day stay, Jurgen trained with the senior team goalkeeper’s coach, Steve Ogrizovic, former goalkeeper of Liverpool and Coventry. He also had the opportunity to train with the Under-18 squad and also played against Aston Villa.

Jurgen Borg is a Floriana FC product and is a member of the the Malta Under-17 squad.
