Stripes seek revenge over Floriana

Birkirkara will be all out to return to winning ways on Monday as they take on Floriana at the National Stadium, kick-off at 19:30.

The Stripes were held in a 2-2 draw by Hibernians in their last outing and are therefore eager to return to victory as they aim to extend their unbeaten run to nine matches without defeat. Against Floriana, Birkirkara will be seeking revenge as the Greens had defeated them 1-0 in the first round.

The game will be no easy one for the Stripes as Floriana are in desperate search for points after falling third from bottom. In their last outing, Floriana defeated Dingli Swallows 2-0.

Birkirkara will be having flank defender Carlo Mamo making his debut after joining the club on loan from Marsaxlokk. However Alan Tabone and Joseph Zerafa are set to miss the game due to injuries. For Floriana, Brian Said is ruled out as he serves a one-match ban. Julian Briffa, Marlon Briffa and Luke Agius are all injured.
