Hamrun Spartans face Qormi this evening

Precious points will be at stake on Monday night as rivals Hamrun Spartans and Qormi cross swords at the Victor Tedesco Stadium, kick-off at 19:30.

Qormi are currently third on 29 points, five behind leaders Valletta and four behind Birkirkara. Hamrun, on the other hand, are seventh on 20 points.

Hamrun Spartans are on a high after collecting seven points out of the last three matches as they drew from Floriana and defeated Sliema Wanderers and Msida St. Joseph. Qormi, on the other hand, are coming from two defeats to Valletta and Tarxien Rainbows. They are therefore eager to return to winning ways.

However this will be no easy game for Qormi considering the absence of Keith Fenech, Alfred Effiong and Camilo Da Silva Sanvezzo. However Duncan Pisani could make his debut after joining the club on loan from Floriana.

In the first round, Qormi defeated Hamrun 2-0.
