Qormi take on Dingli this evening

Qormi could move back on top the BOV Premier League table on Friday as they take on wooden-spoonists Dingli Swallows at the Victor Tedesco Stadium, kick-off at 19:30.

After losing their two previous encounters against Valletta and Tarxien, the Yellows returned to winning ways on Monday as they defeated rivals Hamrun Spartans 2-1. A win which put them on 32 points, two behind leaders Valletta. Therefore with a win over Dingli, Qormi would move first on 35 points, one ahead of the Citizens, who however have a game in hand.

The Swallows lie at the bottom of the table with just three points and are coming from a series of twelve consecutive defeats.

Clint Caruana is ruled out for Dingli as he serves a one-match ban but Shawn Tellus, Roderick Briffa and Kevin Borg will be back. Qormi, on the other hand, welcome back Keith Fenech, Alfred Effiong and Camilo Da Silva Sanvezzo who return from suspension.

In the first round, Qormi defeated Dingli 4-1.
