Birkirkara won the first edition of the Gozo Cup after defeating Hibernians 2-0 in the final which was played on Sunday at the Gozo Stadium.
The Gozo Cup was organised by the Gozo Football Association in collaboration with the Parliamentary Secretariat for Public Dialogue and Information, Gozo Channel and General Soft Drinks through Powerade.
The Stripes had defeated Valletta 1-0 in the semi-finals while Hibernians had beaten Gozo XI 2-1.
In the final, Karl Pulo and Paul Fenech scored the goals for Paul Zammit’s side.
Meanwhile in the final for third and fourth place, Valletta defeated Gozo XI 3-2.
