Seven Premier League players suspended

Seven Premier League players were handed a one-match ban following the first round of matches from the second phase.

The players are Birkirkara duo Paul Fenech and Branko Nisevic, Etienne Farrugia of Dingli, Ryan Deguara of Qormi, Sliema’s Josef Mifsud and John Mintoff and Tarxien’s Denni Rocha Dos Santos.

Nisevic, Fenech and Deguara are ruled out of Qormi vs Birkirkara on Saturday while Mifsud, Mintoff and Denni will be missing the game Tarxien vs Sliema on Sunday. Etienne Farrugia is ruled out of the Relegation Pool clash Dingli vs Hamrun next week.

In Division 1, Kane Paul Farrugia (Mosta), Kris Calleja and Claudio Calleja (Mqabba), Steven Pisani (Vittoriosa) and Elton Vella (Vittoriosa) were all banned for one match.

Malcolm Sultana (Gzira) and Matthew Spiteri (Zurrieq) were suspended for one game in Division 2 while Sinclair Camilleri (Kalkara) and Christian Mifsud (Kirkop) were handed a one-match ban in Division 3.

In the Youth League, Michael Camilleri and Andreas Galea (Birkirkara), Rayson Vella (Senglea), Philip Seguna (Zebbug), Justin Callus (Kirkop), Gary Caruana and Codie Grima (Mtarfa) were all banned for one match.
