Two Birkirkara players handed one-match ban

Two Birkirkara players were handed a one-match ban by the MFA Discipinary Commissioner on Thursday after receiving a fourth yellow card in the game against Hibernians on Saturday.

The two players – Rowen Muscat and Trevor Cilia – are therefore ruled out of the game against Tarxien Rainbows on Sunday.

In Division 1, Gilbert Martin (Mosta) was suspended for two matches while Quelin Refalo (Pietà), Lee Cumbo (San Gwann) and Ryan Mifsud (St. Patrick) were suspended for one match.

Stephen Gatt (Gzira) was banned for two matches in Division 2 while Dennis Baldacchino (Birzebbuga), Shawn Vella (Gharghur) and Gareth Magri (Sta. Venera) were suspended for one match.

In Division 3, Attard duo Marco Sultana and Kurt Zahra were suspended for four matches and two matches respectively. Chris Penza (Luqa), Johann Zammit (Marsa) and Aldrin Muscat (Qrendi) were banned for one match.

In the Youth League, Naxxar Lions official Dione Drago was banned for eight matches and Mtarfa team manager Angelo Borg was banned for four. Justin Callus (Kirkop) was handed a two-match ban while Kevin Agius (Sta. Lucia), Francois Mizzi (Xghajra), Christian Galea and Daniel Bonnici (Gudja), Daniel Scicluna (Kirkop), Roderick Grech (Lija), Jonathan Muscat (Mtarfa), Kurt Drago (Naxxar), Kurt Debono (Rabat), Klinsmann Grech and Dylan Jacobs Azzopardi (Sliema), Jesmond Scicluna, James Shead and Ryan Refalo (all Tarxien) were suspended for one match.
