Two new Executive Committee members elected

Tyrone Demanuele and Raymond Micallef were elected to the Executive Committee of the Malta Football Association during a meeting of the Council which was held on Thursday. Demanuele and Micallef will be representing Second Division clubs and Third Division clubs respectively.

These vacancies arose after an Extraordinary General Meeting which was held last month approved an amendment to the statute of the Malta Football Association which caters for the increase of the number of members in the Executive Committee to represent clubs in the Second Division and the Third Division from one to two each.

The ordinary members on the Executive Committee are therefore:
Premier Division: Joseph Gauci (BKR) and Paul Spiteri
First Division: Joseph Sammut and Bjorn Vassallo
Second Division: Charles J. Scerri, Tyrone Demanuele
Third Division: Joseph Farrugia (KIR), Raymond Micallef
Council Members in representation of Member Clubs in general: Victor Cassar and Antoine Portelli
Council Member in representation of The Youth F.A.: Joe Micallef
Council Members in representation of the other Member Associations: Joe Cassar Naudi and Donald Spiteri
Council Member in representation of the Gozo F.A.: Charles Calleja

Tyrone Demanuele and Raymond Micallef, who are the council members of Gzira United and Attard respectively, will be serving until July when the Annual General Meeting will be held.

In next July’s AGM, elections are also necessary for the Officers of the Malta Football Association as their three-year term also expires this year. The Officers of the Malta Football Association include the President, three Vice-Presidents and the Treasurer.
