Former Hibernians and Malta national team player Eddie Theobald passes away on Friday night at the age of 69.

Theobald, who is considered to be among the one of the greatest players ever, was voted Footballer of the Year twice – in 1966/67 and 1970/71. He played seventeen matches for the national team, scoring two goals.

The funeral will be held on Tuesday at the Paola Parish Church.

Lord grant him eternal rest.
