Five Premier League players suspended

Five Premier League players were handed a one-match ban by the MFA Disciplinary Commissioner on Tuesday.

The players are Alan Tabone (Birkirkara), Rupert Mangion (Hamrun), Adrian Pulis (Hibs) and Valletta duo Luke Dimech and Steve Borg. Sliema Wanderers coach Mark Marlow, on the other hand, was suspended for two matches.

Luke Dimech and Steve Borg are ruled out of the game against Tarxien on April 11. Alan Tabone will miss the game against Sliema while Adrian Pulis is out of the game against Qormi. Rupert Mangion will be unavailable for the Relegation Pool game Floriana vs Hamrun.

In Division 1, Simon Aquilina (Balzan), Karl Zahra (Melita), Sheldon Grech (Pietà), Silvio Sciberras (St. George’s) and Yanis Tonna (St. Patrick) were all banned for one match.

Adriano Mizzi (Dingli), Clive Caruana (Xghajra), Clyde Farrugia and Philip Seguna (Zebbug) were suspended for one match in the Youth League.
