Pietà U-8, U-9 take part in Inter Academy festival

After the great experience with its older age groups that played in Dana Cup last summer, Pietà Hotspurs Youth Nursery organised another trip to Milan, Italy where the Under-8 and Under-9 players participated in the Inter Academy Easter Tournament between the 1st and 6th April.

Kids enjoyed playing football in a very friendly atmosphere at a well-organised festival which was held at excellent facilities. The Pietà boys played against several teams, including Rozzano, Accademia Gaggiano, Accademia Inter Calcio, Sestese Calcio, Insubria Azzate and Renate. They were also the guests for the Serie A league match Inter vs Bologna at the Stadio Meazza.

A contingent of over 74 players, coaches and parents travelled to Milan. Head Coach Godfrey Grima, logistics organiser Eliseo Pavanello, committee member Raymond Mifsud and coaches Noel McKay and Cedric Pisani were the officials in charge of the group.

It was a wonderful experience for the young Pietà players as they met other players from another country who play different styles of football, besides having the chance to visit a number of places including San Gottardo, Gardaland and the city centres in Milan and Rome.
