Vittoriosa Stars registered an important win in the battle for promotion as they defeated Balzan Youths 1-0. Three points which put the Stars in second place, two points ahead of Balzan and St. George’s.

Beppe Muscat scored the all-important goal for Vittoriosa.

In another match, Mqabba defeated St. Patrick 4-0. An important win for Clive Mizzi’s side in the battle against relegation. Mqabba are now seventh on 17 points, followed by Pietà on 16, St. Patrick 13 and San Gwann 11.
