Women's national team loses in Turkey

The women’s national team lost 5-1 to Turkey in a match from Group 5 of the FIFA Women’s World Cup qualifying round at the Huseyin Avni Aker Stadium in Trabzon. Two weeks ago, Turkey had defeated Malta 2-0 at the Centenary Stadium.

Cansu Ya? put Turkey ahead on 7 minutes. Ya?mur Uraz doubled the score on 39 minutes and two minutes later, Cansu Ya? made it 3-0. Two minutes in added time, Bilgin Defterli scored a fourth goal.

Four minutes in the second half, Malta pulled one back through Natasha Pace but Ya?mur Uraz made it 5-1 on 61 minutes.
