BOV Premier League 2010/11 to kick-off in September

The BOV Premier League 2010/11 will be kicking-off on kick-off in September. This was revealed during a meeting of the Council of the Malta Football Association which was held on Tuesday. The Executive Committee has in fact approved the programme for the Premier League and other major competitions including the Super Cup and FA Trophy.

The Super Cup will be held on Saturday 21st August. There will be no games the following weekend due to the national team’s commitments in the EURO 2012 qualifiers. Malta plays Israel in a game away from home, probably on September 2, although the date is yet to be confirmed, and then hosts Latvia on September 7. The first programme of matches from the Premier League will be held between Saturday 11 and Monday 13 September.

The Premier League will come to an end on May 8 with the last game.

The semi-finals of the FA Trophy will be played on May 14 and 15 while the final will be played on May 22.
