Pietà win Welsh Super Cup A Final

Pietà Hotspurs Youth Nursery participated successfully in this year’s Welsh Super Cup 2010 which was held between the 25th and 31st July. Pietà Nursery participated in four different categories – Under-10, Under-11, Under-13 and Under-14.

Three of its teams managed to compete for the Super Cup – the A finals for the best teams in the tournament – while the Under-14 side participated in the Challenge Cup which is a consolation trophy for the teams who do not qualify for the rest of the tournament.

The Under-10 side managed to win the Final of the tournament – considered to be one of the toughest tournaments in Europe. The Under-13 finished second while the Under-11s placed third in the Super Cup A finals.

A big well done to all our boys who made us really proud!!

The contingent was of around 70 persons, led by nursery Chairman Frankie Ciantar, Nursery Head Coach Godfrey Grima, Coach Jesmond Sultana and Coach Kenneth Bonnici. Apart from playing football, the boys had the chance to visit Oakwood Theme Park in Wales.
