The Santa Lucia Tournament kicked-off last week and the eight teams taking part have now played their first game.

In Group A, Second Division side Zejtun Corinthians defeated hosts Santa Lucia 4-0 while Swieqi United beat Luqa St. Andrew’s 1-0 in a clash between two Third Division sides.

In Group B, Gharghur beat Kirkop United 2-0 while First Division side Msida St. Joseph beat Ghaxaq 4-0.

A good number of spectators attended these games and the response was very positive from the invited clubs. New MFA President Norman Darmanin Demajo also paid a visit.
