Super Cup aftermath: Birkirkara players, Valletta officials suspended

The Board of Control and Discipline of the Malta Football Association suspended four Birkirkara FC players and three Valletta FC officials following incidents which took place after the BOV Super Cup final which was played on August 21.

Patrick Borg was suspended for two matches and fined €150, Nikola Vukanac was suspended for three matches and fined €200 while Shaun Bajada and Paul Fenech were both suspended for two matches and fined €100 each.

Valletta FC commitee members Sandro Giliberti and Vincent Tabone were both suspended for two years from all football activities.

Kevin Gauci was not found guilty of using violence but was found guilty of incitement and was therefore suspended for one month and fined €25. Former Valletta FC Nicky Saliba was not found guilty on any charges.
