One-match ban for two Premier League players

Two Premier League players were handed a one-match ban following the first round of matches which were played over the weekend.

Carlos Emanuel Campagnoli and John Mintoff were both sent off in the games against Valletta and Birkirkara respectively.

Campagnoli is ruled out of Vittoriosa’s next game against Qormi on Saturday. Mintoff, on the other hand, will miss Sliema’s game against Marsaxlokk on Sunday.

Other players who were suspended for one match include Christian Galea (Gudja), Matthew Cocks and James Tabone (both Gzira) and Jurgen Gauci (San Gwann).
