Under-21 side to play Romania in International Challenge Trophy match

The Malta Football Association has decided to field its Under-21 side in next Wednesday’s International Challenge Trophy match after being informed by the Romanian FA that they will be sending an Under-18 team for the game.

The International Challenge Trophy is an international competition reserved for players under the age of 23.

The game was originally scheduled for April 21 but was postponed due to the visiting team’s travel difficulties due to the volcanic ash.

Malta has already played two matches, losing 1-3 to Italy at home and 1-0 in Belgium.

Wednesday’s game will be played at the National Stadium, kick-off at 18:30.
