One-match ban for three Premier League players

Three Premier League players were handed a one-match ban by the MFA Disciplinary Commissioner on Wednesday.

Hamrun Spartans defenders Steve Bonnici and Martin Hrubsa and Sliema’s Beppe Muscat were all sent off during the weekend. Bonnici and Hrubsa are ruled out of the Spartans’ next game against Hibernians on Sunday while Muscat will be missing the game against Qormi on Monday.

In the First Division Knock-Out, Karl Saliba (Msida) was banned for one match while Joseph Lia (Zurrieq) was suspended for one game in Division 2.

Noel Bilocca (Ghaxaq), Matthew Muscat and Gary Hili (Gozo) and Liam Cutajar (Sta. Lucia) were suspended for one match in Division 3.

In the Youth League, Joseph Agius (Ghaxaq) was handed a two-match ban while Kurt Drago (Naxxar) was suspended for one game.
