Despite a better performance than in the game against Bosnia-Herzegovina, the Malta national futsal team lost 0-5 to Cyprus in another match from Group C of the 1st Mediterranean Futsal Cup which is being played in Libya. At half-time, Cyprus were leading 2-0.

The team was made up of the following players: Matthew Mifsud, John Cutajar, Chris Brincat, Jean Bert Gatt, Robert Magro, Melvin Borg, Michael Ellul, David Smith, Carlo Scicluna, Bjorn Vassallo, Alan Galea, Xavier Saliba. Malta coach Vic Hermans used all the players at his disposal.

The third group match is against Tunisia on Friday.
