First win ever for Malta national futsal team

The Malta national futsal team registered its first win ever after beating Palestine 4-1 in a match from the second phase of the 1st Mediterranean Futsal Cup which is currently being held in Libya. Thanks to this win, Malta takes the 15th place in the tournament.

Chris Brincat put Malta ahead on the 7th minute. Captain John Cutajar doubled the score on the 30th. Palestine pulled one back two minutes later but a brace by Carlo Scicluna in the dying minutes gave Vic Hermans’ side a 4-1 win.

This was the first win for Malta in the history of the futsal national team. Malta made its debut in the futsal scene in January 2007.
