Hamrun, Hibs target precious points

Hamrun Spartans and Hibernians will be all out for the three points on Friday as the two teams cross swords in a clash from the BOV Premier League at the Victor Tedesco Stadium.

The Spartans are currently fifth on 19 points and are coming from a 1-3 defeat to Floriana in their last outing. They seek a win which would put them back in third place and closer to securing a place in the Championship Pool.

On the other hand, the Paolites are second from bottom on 9 points and failed to win in the last twelve matches. Against Hamrun, they will therefore aim at bringing to an end this winless streak.

Paul McManus will be back for Hibernians after missing the last game. They may also have new signing Jamal Dibi making his debut. Hamrun welcome back Massimo Grima after serving a one-match ban.

In the first round, Hamrun defeated Hibernians 4-3.
