Two Premier League players suspended

Two Premier League players – Ryan Fenech of Hamrun and Luke Vella Critien of Tarxien – were handed a one-match ban by the MFA Disciplinary Commissioner on Wednesday.

Fenech is ruled out of the game against Birkirkara on Saturday while Vella Critien will be missing the game against Sliema.

In Division 1, Jeffrey Farrugia and Kurt Formosa (Dingli), Kurt Formosa (Lija), Lee Grima (Mosta), Andrew Scicluna (Mqabba), Jonathan Mifsud (Msida) and Jurgen Pisani (Pietà) were all banned for one match.

Paul Camilleri (Birzebbuga) and Yanis Tonna (Gzira) were banned for one match in Division 2 while Peter Paul Cassar (Ghaxaq) and Marjos Muscat (Xghajra) were suspended for one match in Division 3.

In the Youth League, Clayton Mercieca (Marsa) and Roderick Cilia (Siggiewi) were handed a three-match ban while Alexander Cauchi (Fgura), Noel Vassallo (Mgarr), Andrea Farrugia and Darren Falzon (Naxxar), Jurgen Gerada (Qormi), Joel Felice (Siggiewi), Carl Falzon (Sta. Venera) and Ryan Magri (Zebbug) were all banned for one match. Two officials – Stephen Abela of Naxxar and Clifford Vassallo of Siggiewi were banned for two matches.
