UEFA Futsal EURO 2012 mini-tournament gets underway on Friday

The UEFA Futsal EURO 2012 Group D Preliminary Round mini-tournament gets underway on Friday at the Cottonera Sports Complex. Taking part besides Malta are Bulgaria, France and Lithuania.

Malta takes on France on Friday, Bulgaria on Saturday and Lithuania in the third and final match on Monday. All Malta games will be played at 20:00.

The other three games will be played as follows: Friday 21 16:30 Lithuania vs Bulgaria; Saturday 22 18:00 France vs Lithuania; Monday 24 18:00 Bulgaria v France.

Following the first ever win for the Malta national futsal team in the game against Palestine in the first edition of the Mediterranean Futsal Cup, Malta is now seeking the first points in a competitive match. This will be no easy task for the team led by Dutch coach Vic Hermans.

The Maltese squad is made up of:
