UEFA Futsal EURO 2012: Malta loses to Bulgaria

Malta lost 0-7 to Bulgaria in the second match from the Group D Preliminary Round mini-tournament of the UEFA Futsal EURO 2012 at the Cottonera Sports Complex on Saturday.

At the end of the first half, Bulgaria were leading 2-0 thanks to goals by Boris Trendafilov on 17 minutes and Boycho Marev on the 19th. The latter increased the lead on 24 minutes and Viktor Viktorov made it 4-0 on the 33rd.

Three goals in hardly a minute by Blagovest Marev scored the fifth, Boycho Marev and Boyko Kosev between the 38th and 39th sealed the issue for the Bulgarians who lead the table with six points after defeating Lithuania 6-3 in the first game.

Malta faces Lithuania in the third game on Monday. Lithuania lost 1-3 to France on Saturday.
