Two-match ban for Vandelannoite

Qormi defender Jason Lee Vandelannoite will be missing the next two Premier League matches after being handed a two-match ban by the MFA Disciplinary Commissioner after being sent off in the U*BET FA Trophy quarter-final against Floriana on Sunday.

Since Qormi have been eliminated from the competition, he will be serving the ban in the Relegation Pool.

Floriana goalkeeper Lotfi Saidi, who was sent off during the same game, and Tarxien defender Everton Antonio Pereira were banned for one match and are ruled out of the semi-finals.

Meanwhile in Division 1, Kurt Pace (Dingli) and Daniel Zahra (St. George’s) were suspended for one game.

Mark Ellul and Mark Pullicino (Birzebbuga), Philip Taylor (Mellieha), Gordon Said (Mgarr), Alan Borg and Justin Spiteri (San Gwann), Gordon Mallia (Zebbug) and Jason Cachia (Zejtun) were handed a one-match ban in Division 2.

On the other hand, Jeffrey Mallia (Gudja), Randolph Penza and Mark Ciantar (Luqa), Joseph Munyoo Mwene, Julian Fenech and Cleavon Mizzi (Mtarfa) were banned for one match. Sta. Venera Kit-manager Mario Muscat was suspended for four matches.

In the Youth League, Luca Spiteri (Lija), Karl Pace, James Paris and Andrew Caligari (Sliema) were banned for one match.

On Tuesday, Vittoriosa Stars defender Stephen Wellman was banned for one match.
