Four Premier League players suspended

Four Premier League players were handed a one-match ban by the MFA Disciplinary Commissioner following the weekend’s matches.

Andre Agius (Birkirkara), Dyson Falzon (Hamrun), Jonathan Pearson (Hibs) and Kang Hojung (Qormi) will therefore miss the next BOV Premier League match for their club.

Andrei Agius is ruled out of the game against Tarxien Rainbows while Dyson Falzon will miss the game against his former club Valletta. Pearson and Hojung are ruled out of the games against Sliema and Vittoriosa respectively.

In Division 1, Adrian Borg (Mosta) and Sheldon Grech (Pietà) were both banned for one match while Matthew Cocks (Gzira), Isaac Sammut (Mellieha), Melvin Farrugia (Zebbug), Charlo Magro and Oldi Majtara (Zejtun) were suspended for one match in Division 2.

In the Youth League, Jean Paul Lapira (Attard), Kersten Borg and Jeremy Vella (Ghaxaq), Mark Vassallo (Mgarr), Sacha Cortis (Rabat), Michael Agius (Tarxien) and Dylon Debono (Vittoriosa) were all handed a one-match ban.
