Rabat Ajax secured the runner-up spot in the BOV Second Division as they beat Gzira United 7-2 in their final league match.

Richard Attard gave Gzira ahead but the Magpies turned the score in their favour thanks to goals by Dylan Falzon, Justin Felice and an own goal. Keith Bonello reduced the gap for the Maroons but another two goals by Felice and one by veteran Adrian Mifsud gave Rabat a most comfortable win.

In another match, San Gwann defeated Senglea Athletic 6-3.
