Schembri, Barbara on target once again

Andre Schembri and Etienne Barbara were once again on target as they scored goals in important wins for their clubs.

In Hungary, Schembri scored the first goal in a 3-0 win over Lombard Papa to secure third place and hence a place in the UEFA Europa League this summer. This will mark in fact their return to European football after an absence of six years.

For Schembri, this was also the cherry on the cake of a most successful season in which he ended as the club’s top scorer on 15 goals.

In the United States, Etienne Barbara was once again the hero for Carolina RailHawks as he scored twice in a 3-0 win over last season’s champions, Puerto Rico Islanders. A win which put the RailHawks seven points clear a quarter through the season.

Barbara, on the other hand, extendied his consecutive match scoring streak to eight and his goal scoring tally to 11.
