Season comes to an end for Triestina Soccer School Malta

The final training sessions for the season at the Triestina Socer School Malta was held on Monday 23rd May under the guidance of Franco Schiraldi – founder of the school and head of the US Triestina youth sector – and Paolo Devivo – who is part of the coaching staff of the club’s Giovanissimi Regionali (Under-15).

US Triestina sent these coaches in order to have the young Maltese players the opportunity for training and an assessment by professional Italian coaches. These were accompanied by Peter Pullicino who is the head coach of the Triestina Soccer School Malta and other coaches within the school.

At the end of the training session, the children were presented with an assessment report, a certificate of participation and a medal by Schiraldi and Bro Martin Borg fsc who is the director the De La Salle College, where the school is based, and a consultant for the same school.

Schiraldi thanked parents for their support, Bro Martin Borg fsc, president Kenneth Vella and vice-president Robert Busuttil. He mentioned the school’s achievements over the past months including the training camp by US Triestina and the Capodanno Cup in December, the visit by two teams from US Triestina in tournaments organized by Birkirkara and Hamrun Spartans and the two trials which Jurgen Degabriele had in Trieste. Schiraldi said that two players from Triestina Soccer School Malta could go for a trial in Trieste this summer.

Bro Martin Borg fsc thanked Schiraldi and US Triestina for basing the school at De La Salle College. He said the college always believed in complete education and for this reason invested in the building of sports facilities.
