Defender Steve Bezzina will be staying with Sliema Wanderers for another year on loan with an option for the Wanderers to sign him for good at the end of season 2011/12.

Therefore Bezzina is the Blues’ fifth signing after the club secured the services of Jackson Lima, attacking midfielder Jorge Santos Silva, striker Daniel Mitev and also of former Tarxien and Vittoriosa midfielder Ryan Grech.

The twenty-four year old defender joined Sliema in the beginning of last season but an injury ruled him out for almost two months. But on his recovery, he quickly took his place on the left flank. Under the guidance of Danilo Doncic, Bezzina was also utilised as a central defender.
