Dr Josie Muscat is set to be appointed president of First Division side St. Patrick during the club’s Annual General Meeting which will be held on Monday at the Local Council Hall at 19:00.

Dr Muscat was approached by the club and accepted their invitation to take over as president. His father had served as president of the Zabbar club in the past.

Current president Joe Vella Bonnici will continue to serve in the St. Patrick committee as one of the vice-presidents.

St. Patrick, who will be celebrating their hundredth anniversary, were promoted to Division 1 after defeating Mellieha in a promotion decider in Division 2. Alfred Attard was confirmed as coach and will therefore start his third season with the club.
