Terence Vella signs 5-year contract — New foreigners for Birkirkara

Terence Vella will be staying with Birkirkara after signing a new five-year deal. This new five year deal should see Terrence a player of ‘The Stripes’ until the 2016-2017

In his first season with the club, he scored four goals in 21 matches.

Meanwhile the squad has been strengthened with the arrival of new foreigners. Besides goalkeeper Jorge Mora who returned with the club, signing a one-year deal, in the game against Floriana on Monday, the Stripes had former Hibernians defender Matt Clarke and Italian defender Jacopo Camilli who had started the pre-season with the club last summer.

Latvian central defender Marcis Savinovs signed a one-year contract on Monday. The 24-year old defender played for FK Jaunîba and FK Jelgava over the past three years.

Two Brazilian players – defender Antonio Carlos Gomes and striker David Da Silva – also arrived on Monday, signing a one-year contract.

An Argentine striker Victor Rena is also on trial with the club.
