Former MBA general secretary appointed Floriana FC secretary

The roles of the various members were assigned during a meeting of the Floriana FC committee.

Johann Said was unanimously re-appointed as Club President for the second consecutive year after the excellent season the club had during the last season with President Said at the helm. On the other hand, former Secretary General of the Malta Basketball Association Frank Camilleri was appointed Club Secretary.

Dr. Hugh Peralta and Julian Holland were appointed as Vice Presidents, Damian Camilleri retained his post as Finance Officer whilst Mark Victor Camilleri was appointed as Marketing and Media Officer.

The other members forming part of the Committee are: Peter Agius, Lyton Debattista, Mark Frendo, Keith Galea, Anthony Stellini, Matthew Carbone and Sandra Sammut Hili. These members were each given a specific area to work on within the committee structure.

The committee is presently working very hard to strengthen the squad, which squad is preparing for the UEFA Europa League commitments against Cypriot side AEK Larnaca.

The first game is scheduled in the Hibs Stadium on Thursday 14th July, kick-off at 19:30, with the return match scheduled in Larnaca a week later on Thursday 21st July.

Match tickets for the first leg will be €25 for adults. Children 12 years and under enter for free if accompanied by an adult. More details on points of sales for these tickets will be announced in the coming days.

The Floriana FC Supporters Club would like to announce that in preparation for the game against AEK Larnaca, it is organising an activity in the form of a BBQ. This activity will be held on Friday 8th July at the Floriana Bocci Club. The tickets for this activity shall be of €12.50 for adults and €5 for children. More details about this activity which shall be held on a similar style to that organised before the FA Trophy final will be announced in the coming days.

The club is also finalising details to organise a Tour for Supporters for the away game in Cyprus. In the coming days all the details will be announced and at this stage the club can confirm that preference will be given to paid members of the club. The club would like to stress that this tour will be available for booking only from the travel agency chosen and match tickets for the game in Cyprus will be guaranteed for all that book with this Tour. Bookings will be taken on a first come first served basis.
