Hamrun Spartans Youth Nursery will once again be travelling to Cardiff for this year’s edition of the Welsh International Super Cup 2011. This will be the fourth time Hamrun will be participating in this tournament, the first time being in 2006. For this year’s edition the Nursery will participate with the 1999-2000 category.

Football icons such as Ian Rush, Andriy Shevchenko, Steven Gerrard, Michael Owen, Robbie Fowler, Shay Given and Thomas Rosicky have adorned the all-star graduate list from the summer showpiece in Wales these past 30 years. The group, made up of 13 boys, 3 officials and 20 parents and relatives, left Malta on Sunday 24th July and will return on Sunday 31st July. The team will be headed by nursery official Martin Grech and coaches James Cutajar and Paul Massa.
