Zebbug Rangers strengthen their squad for Second Division campaign

Zebbug Rangers, who will be playing once again in the BOV Second Division next season, presented their new signings during a press conference led by president Joe Pace. The club, who has appointed George Faure as their new coach with Bruce Genovese as his assistant are expected to be one of the serious contenders for promotion to Division 1.

Amongst the new signings is Nigerian striker Uchenna Anyanwu, who helped Balzan Youths gain promotion to the Premier League last season. Also joining the club are Lee Cumbo (ex Msida), Antonio Saliba (Lija Athletic), Mark Brincat (ex Mosta), David Agius (ex Balzan), Nathan Caruana (ex St. Georges), Chris Ciappara (ex Dingli) and James Mercieca (ex Gharghur). On the other hand, Jeremy Agius and Joseph Mercieca have renewed their contract with the club.

With these new signings together with the other players already at the disposal of the club, the team has good potential to be one of the favourites to get the promotion to the First Division the coming season.

Mr Joe Pace concluded by thanking all members and sponsors of the club for their assistance to build a competitive squad and wished the club a successful season.
