Naxxar Lions presented their new signings during a press conference which was held at the club premises in Naxxar on Thursday.

The new signings include three local players – goalkeeper Justin Spiteri who joins the club on loan from San Gwann, Lydon Micallef from Msida St. Joseph and Aaron Attard who joins Naxxar on loan from Hamrun. The other three are Brazilian players Murilo Maccari, Hallisson Lima Siqueira and Edilson Fiori Dos Santos.

Naxxar Lions coach Alex Delia and club secretary Dione Drago stressed that these new signings will continue to strengthen an already strong squad which secured consecutive promotions from the Third Division to the Second Division and then to the First Division.

Alex Delia explained that the team’s objectives are those of continuing to build on what has been achieved so far and said he is confident this will be another season of satisfaction for the club. Delia went on to say that the club will continue to focus on its nursery products.

The club’s sponsors for season 2011/12 will be Teamsport (Macron) and Eva Waters.
