Hosts Melita won the first edition of the Powerade Summer Cup following a 3-3 draw with Lija Athletic in their last game. The Amateurs had won the previous four games.

After the game, Melita President Paul Zammit presented the trophy to Melita FC captain Julian Galea.

In another match which was played on Friday, St. George’s defeated Gharghur 2-0.

The committee of Melita FC would like to publicly thank Powerade for their support as well the other teams for a great, successful celebration of football.
