The draws for the inaugural Under-13 Events – In?obb il-Futbol took place on Friday evening at the Youth FA Headquarters in Ta’ Qali in the presence of Vice-President Robert Attard, Secretary General Joe Micallef and Fixtures Officer Frans Zammit.

In a brief introduction, Robert Attard, explained that twenty nurseries expressed their interest in participating in this new event, but the final number will be confirmed by mid-next week, after thoroughly checking the eligibility according the rules of this event.

Joe Micallef explained that this event will kick off in mid-October, 2011 and will run until May, 2012. He reminded the participating nurseries that the In?obb il-Futbol event is not a competition, and should not be treated as such; otherwise the very scope will have gone astray. The Secretary General advised the nursery officials to treat this event very seriously and professionally, as the Youth FA Officials be very vigilant, and no disciplinary mishap or breaching of the rules will be tolerated.

The result of the draws was as follows:-
Section A: Qormi, Birkirkara, Hamrun Spartans, Pembroke Athleta, St. Andrews, Zebbug Rangers, Rabat Ajax, Melita, Kirkop United, Mellieha
Section B: Mosta, Tarxien Rainbows, Gozo, San Gwann, Lija / Iklin, Paola Hibs, Floriana, St. Patrick, Pietà Hotspurs, Naxxar Lions.

Frans Zammit concluded the meeting by confirming that all the fixtures for the In?obb il-Futbol event will be released by the end of the month.
