Ray Farrugia names squad for game vs Ukraine

Malta Under-21 coach Ray ‘Zazu’ Farrugia named the squad for next Friday’s UEFA Under-21 Championship qualifier against Ukraine which will be played at the Gozo Stadium, kick-off at 18:00.

Malta collected four points in a draw with Finland and a win over Lithuania away from home but then suffered two defeats to Slovenia and Finland at the Hibernians Ground last month.

The squad is made up of:
goalkeepers Daniel Balzan (St. Andrews), Steve Sultana (Qormi);
defenders Owen Bugeja (Floriana), Yessous Camilleri (Balzan), Cleaven Cassar (Pietà), Kane Paul Farrugia (Mosta), Matthew Robert Gauci (Hamrun), Luca Martinelli (Mosta), Zach Muscat (Pietà);
midfielders Clyde Borg (Floriana), Triston Caruana (Hibs), Sheldon Grech (Mosta), Dylan Grima (Balzan), Bjorn Kristensen (Hibs), Rowen Muscat (Birkirkara);
forwards Miguel Ciantar (Balzan), Leighton Grech (Birkirkara), Lydon Micallef (Balzan), Steve Pisani (Hibs), Terence Vella (Birkirkara).
