Floriana will be aiming at bouncing back from the defeat to rivals Valletta as they take on Birkirkara in the only match in programme from the BOV Premier League at the Victor Tedesco Stadium on Monday.

The Greens lie seven points behind leaders Hibernians and six behind Valletta and therefore with a win over the Stripes, they would move to just three points behind the Citizens and build a six point gap over Birkirkara.

Making their job more difficult is the absence of Tyrone Farrugia and Christian Caruana who are both injured.

Birkirkara returned to winning ways last week as they registered a comfortable 4-0 win over Hamrun Spartans. A win over the Greens would enable them to join Floriana and Qormi in third place.
