Six Premier League players suspended

Six players are ruled out of this weekend’s BOV Premier League matches as they were handed a one-match ban by the MFA Disciplinary Commisioner on Wednesday.

The players are Yessous Camilleri (Balzan), Angus Buhagiar (Birkirkara), Manuel Bartolo (Floriana), Florent Raimy (Marsaxlokk), Federico Tisbi (Mosta) and Jeffrey Chetcuti (Qormi).

Yessous Camilleri is ruled out of the game against Valletta while Fedrico Tisbi will be missing the game against Mosta. Manuel Bartolo is ruled out of Hibs vs Floriana while Raimy will be missing Marsaxlokk vs Hamrun. Jeffrey Chetcuti will be unavailable for the game against Sliema while Angus Buhagiar will miss the match against Tarxien.

In Division 1, Leonardo Rocha Dos Santos of Vittoriosa was suspended for two matches while Kevin Borg (Birzebbuga), Amadeo Mercieca and Heathcliff Schembri (St. George’s) were banned for one match.

Christian Galea (Gudja) was suspended for one match in Division 2 while Msida team manager Noel Fenech was banned for two matches.

Pembroke Athleta coach Jacques Scerri was handed a two-match ban in Division 3 while Jonathan Mifsud, also of Pembroke, was suspended for one game.

Floriana goalkeeper Jurgen Borg was banned for one match in the Youth League.
